Discover the world of piCrate with our November exhibition

31 October 2018

From October 31st until November 29th, in the main entrance and restaurant of the Château du Clos de la Ribaudière, discover the world of the artist piCrate with an exhibition made of strange characters.

Outraged, a bit provocative and emotional sensitivity, piCrate is a painter artist with abundant imagination.

Originally from Limousin, in the center of France, and from his early age interested by art, he moved to Paris at age 19. It’s meetings decisive with artists, intellectuals and people on the
street that will mark him throughout his career. After a brief stint at the Academy of Painting of Port Royal, he joined Estienne Graphic Arts School, then AC3P Photography School and
becomes a professional photographer.

After 30 years of free lance photography, without ever abandoning the pleasure and desire to paint, create and assemble, he decided in 2013 to focus totally on these means of expression.
Jean-Michel Pericat becomes piCrate.

His choice of colours, materials and medias as well as his way of working and assemble them charaterize a style that he likes to say « dirty and gross », but that might be called true and without artifice. Through his works, he shared his emotions, his questions and invites us to enter its universe populated by beings weird and full of a singular aesthetic and graphic research.
