In May, have a walk with Isabelle Hervé
1 May 2019From May 1st to 31st, 2019, in the main entrance and restaurant of the Château du Clos de la Ribaudière, get back in motion and discover the painting exhibition “Cheminement” by Isabelle Hervé.
Artistic approach
After studying at the École Supérieure des Arts Appliqués Duperré in Paris and several years in fashion and textile, the art of painting imposed itself to Isabelle Hervé from 1999.
Always figurative and contemporary, her work chooses the human race as a favorite subject, staging it with its volume, its light, its attitudes and its relationships to others. In seaside, urban or scenic horizons, she proposes moments of life that look like us. Where everything is linked quickly, the painting allows a freeze frame, a memory on snapshots, a color on moments of life, a trace of the passage.
Mixed media or acrylic, painted, drawn, glued, scraped, plunging view or panorama, these scores of humanity scattered over the space of the canvas, we open a sensitive universe, where emptiness and full make sense.
In acrylic or oil, her work invites a break for the one who looks at it. Her wish is that each painting awakens the viewer’s imagination and leads him to invent his own story.
Housed in her studio in the 11th district of Paris, Isabelle Hervé has exhibited her works since 2011 in various galleries in Paris (Espace Beaurepaire, Drouot Auction House, Galerie Talon Haut, Swiss Village Gallery No. 7), Toulouse, Lourmarin, Hyères , Lyon, Rennes, Montreuil but also in Belgium, (Jos Joos Gallery in Brussels). She has also participated in the International Fair of Contemporary Art “Affordable Art Fair Brussels” in Belgium and several art markets in Normandy and Tarn-et-Garonne.
